The boat itself is of very good quality and there were some very thoughtful designs included in the boat plan. One thing that stands out is a front keel reinforced with a steel guard that prevents damage when beached or in shallow water. Secondly, the seat padding is very comfortable because it is not too thin and provides much cushion in rough waters. Another thing that I was pleasantly surprised with was that the manufacturer provided a small batch of gel coats in both colors of the boat to use as a repair kit in case of minor scratches and damage. The cabling was laid out perfectly and there was even a cable conduit already built in from stern to aft for any electrical additions desired. I would say the only thing that needs a redesign is the placement and size of the drain holes in the storage compartments. For instance, the anchor well or front well has a drain hole that isn't at the floor level of the compartment and water collects there and is a little challenging to dry out.
